The Microsoft 8.1 Should Be Finally Released In June

Posted on: June 26th, 2013

The Microsoft 8.1 Should Be Finally Released In JuneMicrosoft has finally confirmed that the Windows Blue shall be termed as Windows 8.1 and will be available to users as a free upgrade. While there is no confirmation of the beloved start menu of the Windows will make a comeback, Tami Reller provided some insights about the upcoming patch in a conference in New York.

The new Microsoft Windows 8 update which is being termed as Windows 8.1 is being portrayed as one which holds greater value than your regular patches and updates. The patch is also expected to be extremely user friendly in its installation and a sneak peak should be available at Microsoft’s Build conference which is supposed to take place in June. It is also believed that the restoration of some of the dropped features of the desktop is more to do with blocking 3rd party work rather than restoring the said features. It is also believed that the Windows shall eventually turn into an annual subscription since Microsoft is looking at a more steady and dependable source of income. This is considered to be the main reason why Microsoft is acclimatizing people to subtle changes instead of a big bang release.

However, most users still believe that the company is in a denial mode and is not at all ready to fix the problems. Some cynical ones even went on to state that while the company is trying to force the new product in a more effective manner, it is at least nice of Microsoft to not charge users for fixing the mistakes that the company made. It is also believed that Microsoft is gambling on its strong position to carry Windows 8 through. However, large businesses are known to be extremely slow in implementing new technologies and therefore some are ditching Windows 8 products in favour of the iPads.
