hinese hackers again steal the classified documents and relevant technological information all because of QinetiQ’s faulty decision making a UK based defense contractor organization. The news broke out when the higher official confirmed that it has actually happened.
QinetiQ (QQ) in North America provides various services to US Special Forces deployed in US and Afghanistan like drones, satellites and security services. It was such an extensive hacking that the consultants have to work in firm day in day out in order to remove the malicious software. An attack in 2009 was much severe when 151 machines were used and 20 gigabytes of data was hacked, till the time they got blocked.
As the white house moved towards china telling them about this hacking, experts have been calculating the loss that is about 1.3 million pages containing highly confidential military information got stolen. The agent was stumbled upon leaving other contractors in the investigation. QinetiQ admitted its first mistake as its investigation was restricted at the first stage of spying. NASA warned the firm that it was attached by one of its computers still the organization pay no heeds.
The hackers were successful breaching QNA and due to flaw in the security they got into multiple divisions of the company including cyveillance, which is the company’s cyber security unit. HBHary was hired in order to investigate an attack on the firm in 2011. He almost pointed out the malicious software on many of company’s computers that were used in hacking. The spying that was being done on the company will eventually help China is getting over and further to US in terms of military technology. This would also result in a loss of billions of dollars and extensive research that was being done in order to achieve all those things.
